LBMMC BLS Renewal Heartcode (Skills Testing = Blended learning combines self-paced online training with an Instructor-led classroom session.)

Class Price: $40.00

Blended learning combines self-paced online training with an Instructor-led classroom session. Students first learn the course content online using HeartCode BLS Part 1. After passing the included online exam, they attend an Instructor-led, video-based classroom portion focused on skills practice Part 2, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing Part 3.

  • The online portion allows students to complete exercises and learn at their own pace.
  • The classroom portion allows time for practice and discussion.
  • Students have access to HeartCode BLS for 24 months after activation, allowing them to revisit simulations and videos after they complete the course.
  • Students who sucessfully complete this portion will be sent their BLS eCard via email the same day.
  • MemorialCare employees will be assigned automatically to the on-line portion (Part 1) in YouLearn within two business days of registering for a class by the Nursing Education department. If you do not see your HeartCode in YouLearn, please contact Sheila Swanson, 562-933-8133.  Part 1 MUST be completed prior to attending Part 2 & 3 in class.

(NEW) Use of Promo Code: 

  • Employees of individual hospitals within the Memorial Healthcare system ARE LIMITED TO COURSE COMPLETION AT THEIR INDIVIDUAL FACILITIES. Employees may only register for courses at their facilities. 
  • Employees must ONLY use the designated promo code for their facility.
  • Employees who register for a course using a nondesignated promo code will be cancelled from the course and MUST re-register for a course at their specific facility.
  • Hospital employees must enter in their hospitals specific PROMO code in order to not be charged for the class   
  • Hospital employees are REQUIRED to show their hospital photo ID to obtain their AHA card.
  • Hospital employees are run through the HR database to confirm employment.
  • Attendees who are not employees will be charged the appropriate fee prior to admission into the class.
